Puzzle Game - Free Lilly!

Description and History:

Free Lilly! is a modified variant of SameGame, a puzzle game initially published as Chain Shot!. Countless variations can be found online, e.g. Clickomania and KSame, just to name a few.

Several years ago an online version was published named "Klick mich frei" on a magazine's website, but then disappeared quite soon. However, since my colleagues and I enjoyed playing this puzzle at work breaks, I decided to develop my own version. Its name Free Lilly! is a slightly ironic allusion to the title of a popular movie at that time called "Free Willy".

The very first version of Free Lilly! was written in QuickBASIC and was running on DOS as well as on Windows OS's which still could process 16-bit applications, e.g. Windows 95/98 or Windows XP. Meanwhile, the fourth version is available for download, suitable for all modern Windows releases (both 32- and 64-bit): Windows 7/8/8.1, Vista and Windows 10 of course.

Additional system requirements: DirectX 9 or higher.

Options and Game Instructions:

Remove all tiles to free the girl behind the colored wall. Simply click on a single tile and all tiles of the same color surrounding the clicked one will disappear. The tiles above will fall into the remaining empty space; gaps between the columns are filled by moving the remaining columns from right to left.

Two levels of difficulty are provided: choose either a grid with 8x12 tiles or 12x18 tiles. Other features are: 3, 4 or 5 different colors, statistics, various background images, practice mode and much more.

After downloading, unzip Free Lilly!. No installation required. Just execute lilly.exe and have fun!

Needless to say, Free Lilly! is freeware...
